APIQWTC was formed in Feb of 1999 as a means of networking & communicating among Bay Area Asian & Pacific Islander queer women's and transgender people's organizations and constituencies. APIQWTC was formerly Asian Pacific Sisters (APS) and a part of Asian Pacific Lesbians and Bisexuals Network (APLBN), now APLBTN inclusive of Transgender Women.

Til today, APIQWTC sponsors several major events each year. We organize our annual Lunar New Year Banquet where we also present our Phoenix award to recognize and honor leaders in our community. We march in the San Francisco Lunar New Year Parade, Gay Pride Parade, Dyke March, Sistah's Steppin' in Pride, and East Bay Pride. We throw yearly summer and sport BBQs.  We also hold workshops and conferences and are accepting suggestions (and volunteers). Checkout events past and upcoming events!

We are always looking to partner and support events and activities with other organizations and individuals to serve the Asian Pacific Islander Queer Women and Transgender community and our allies. Some of them are listed in Resources and Other Links. Check out how to contact us!

Since we are a grass-roots organization run solely by VOLUNTEERS, everything happens with your help. Please contact us if you can graciously make yourself available. WE NEED YOU!!!

Volunteering Opportunities are listed with this sign.
