Asian Women’s Shelter 13th Annual Event "Sisters, Mothers,
Daughters"
This wonderful annual event
will be hosted at St. Mary’s Cathedral Conference Center (1111 Gough
St. at Geary in San Francisco). It will start at 6pm for buffet
reception and
7pm for program and performances. Keynote speaker: Elisabeth Kim,
author

AWS was founded in 1988 to
address the needs of battered Asian women and their children. One of
their programs is Queer Asian Women’s Services (QAWS). The goal of AWS
is to eliminate domestic violence by promoting the social, economic,
and political self-determination of women.

San Francisco Queer Art Festival
The Queer Cultural Center, Harvey Milk Institute, and
the Center for Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender Art &
Culture present the second National Queer Arts Festival in San
Francisco California. The June festival will feature Queer Artists in
dance, theater, visual arts, film, video, literature and solo

Francisco Pride Parade
Come march with APIQWTC!!!
Don’t miss the big party! This year, we will have our own banner and

The parade will start at
Market and Beale at 10:30am and will proceed west on Market Street to
Market and
Eighth Street which is an entrance to the Celebration Site located in
the San Francisco Civic Center. The Women's Motorcycle Contingent kicks
off the parade followed by two hundred plus contingents of marchers and
floats. We will be marching with our own banner!!! Please stay tuned

APIQWTC 1-day Conference
APIQWTC is putting together
a one-day conference in San Francisco. There will be a number of
workshops related to API queer women and transgender issues. For
examples, legal issues for domestic partners, parenting (natural birth
or adopting), coming out, same-sex domestic violence, butch/femme
identity, job information, community resources, and etc. Date and

East Bay Pride
Oakland has an
annual Gay Pride Week, which is always in the last week of August. The
evenings will be filled with exciting and colorful ethnic and cultural
events culminating in a Mardi Gras on Sunday, September 2. Don’t miss
this exciting event on the east bay.

API PFLAG 5th Annual Family Picnic
Bring your family and
friends to enjoy the fun event! Food, drink, and charcoal will be
provided but it will be nice to bring food to share. Kids are wanted!!!
Last year, we
had 19 kids in the community. This is also a great event to bring your
parents or family members. Date, time, and location will be announced
as
the date gets closer.
