Join us for a hike at Fall Creek in the Santa Cruz Mountains (1101 Felton Empire Road, Felton). The hike is 6 miles with an elevation to 700 feet. It will take 2 – 2.5 hours. It’s a beautiful hike with redwoods, Douglas fir, ferns and a creek. Shaded and lush, this hike can make you forget there is a drought. IMPORTANT INFO:
1) WHERE TO MEET: FELTON SAFEWAY – 6255 Graham Hill Rd., Felton. Parking is limited at the park, so we will meet to car pool at the Felton Safeway parking lot on Graham Hill and Mount Herman Roads. We will wait until 9:45 for stragglers. The park is only a mile away. Call or text me at 408/655-7499 if you get lost or are running late. It’s about a 25 minute drive from Los Gatos.
2) RESTROOMS: There are NO restrooms. However, there are plenty of bushes. 😉 We would suggest using the SAFEWAY RESTROOM beforehand.
3) FOOD AND DRINK: Pack a lunch if you would like to stay in Felton for a picnic afterward at Felton Covered Bridge County Park (across from Safeway). Bring water to hydrate yourself and snacks if you need them. There’s also the Safeway, if you’d rather just purchase something there.
4) RAIN will cancel.
5) This hike has been posted on at least 6 other LGBT meetup groups.
