APIQWTC SCHOLARSHIP(S)

Q: When are you going to announce the scholarship?
A: Applications are open as of November 17, 2025! Your application, transcripts, and recommendation letters are due February 1, 2026 @ 11:59PM. Any late applications will be disqualified.

Q: I’m an international student, do I qualify?
A: Yes. Current students in a U.S.-based, non-profit certificate or degree-granting program as well as high school seniors and other future students about to enter into a certificate or degree-granting program in Summer 2026 or Fall 2026 are eligible to apply. International students must reside and attend an institution in the US.

Q: I’m applying to a U.S.-based program located outside the United States. Am I eligible?
A: Unfortunately, no. Even if the program is run by a U.S. organization, programs held outside the United States are not eligible.

Q: I’ve received the APIQWTC scholarship in the past. Could I apply again?
A: If you have not received the APIQWTC Scholarship in the past five years, you are eligible to apply.

Q: I’m applying to a trades program (nursing, carpentry, auto mechanic), which scholarship should I apply to?
A: We offer TWO scholarships, please see below. Automechanic would fall under the Terri Higa Memorial scholarship:

  • The APIQWTC Scholarship will award scholarships of $3,500 each to two (2) individuals pursuing a tuition-based, certificate or degree-granting program.
  • The Terri Higa Memorial Scholarship will award a $3,500 scholarship to an individual pursuing an Associate of Science (AS) or Associate of Arts (AA) degree in a technical or trade career. (Examples: AS Automotive Technician AS, Automotive Technology AS, Automotive Collision Repair AS, Nursery Management Specialist AS, Respiratory Therapist AS, Physical Therapist Assistant AS, Cosmetology AS, Carpentry AS, etc)
